It was at the end of last year that the company rebranded and moved into a new Leicester office, an open-plan, modern space that reflects the look and feel of its other offices: “2018 has been excellent for SFB as we have seen all the benefits from those changes. We have gone from strength to strength, with the group set-up providing us with the platform to officially launch our agricultural specialism and our corporate finance team. We also have plans for further growth, says Shelley.

“With multiple award-winning specialisms, we can offer our clients the very best service to ensure they achieve their goals.”

Continually striving for new ways to improve both their client and staff experience, the firm’s four core values are EPIC which stands for, enjoyment, professional, Innovative and commercial, all of which, underpin the organisation and its ethos.

SFB Group’s managing director Paul Carvell, who has been with the firm for almost 30 years, shares his highlights: “When I started at SFB, we were a small firm of 30 based in a converted house located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Now we are a 100-strong established national firm with a team of experts, with the message that we will help you achieve your goals resonating with our clients. The biggest highlight for me personally has been seeing the development of our team and clients over the years.”

This year also saw the firm shortlisted for a number of prestigious awards and Shelley was also a finalist at the Niche Business Awards and East Midlands Chamber Awards, in recognition of her strong leadership skills and talent for developing innovative solutions for clients and her team.

Paul reflects on being recognised for these awards and what they mean to the firm: “It showcases that we are a firm of specialist advisers to work with to achieve your business and personal goals, but also in addition to our clients, that we are a firm to have a long, successful and rewarding career with for any accountants, tax advisers and wealth managers looking to advance and develop their career.”
