Hidden away from the bustle of the high street, The Coffee Counter is a peaceful and relaxing escape that offers speciality grade Arabica coffee, locally sourced cakes, as well as artisan bread-based sandwiches and pancakes. They also supply their speciality coffee to other local cafes in Leicester and beyond.

St Martin’s Coffee Shop
2 – 6 Saint Martin’s Walk, Leicester LE1 5DG
Tucked away in the heart of St Martin’s Square, this café is a home away from home. Featuring two floors and comfortable seating, it’s the perfect spot to while away the hours with your laptop or a good book. They serve a wide selection of tea and coffee, as well as delicious sandwiches. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, this independent gem also transforms into Crafty, a fabulous burger restaurant.

If you’re after a hearty breakfast or all-day brunch, Kai is your place. Located in St Martin’s Square, this popular café serves everything from organic coffee, French toast, curry bowls, stacks of fluffy pancakes topped with everything from chocolate sauce and strawberries to streaky bacon and maple syrup, plus more!

Merchant of Venice

With its imaginative décor that features swings in the window, this charming coffee shop brings something different to the city of Leicester. Expect a range of Italian pastries, cakes, and of course, delicious coffee! But if you’re after something a little more hearty, their menu also includes a selection of all-day breakfasts, Italian mains and gelato.

Northern Cobbler

Offering both footwear and coffee, this unique spot takes residency on Leicester’s trendy Queens Road. Whilst browsing their quality leather shoes, why not sample the food from their menu. Choose from a selection of tempting cakes and freshly-made crêpes that include both savoury and sweet options.
